Generations of people used Royal Blue express coach services to visit family, friends or to holiday at resorts along the South Coast & West Country. In the 1950's & 1960's over a million people a year travelled by Royal Blue. The company had a reputation for providing luxury travel at affordable prices. They were also great innovators – starting one of the first express coach routes in Britain in the early 1920's. Then developing an extensive network of services across the south west; introducing non-stop journeys and over-night services too. It explains why over 40-years since the company disappeared, it is still remembered with such fondness. Today over forty Royal Blue coaches survive. A significant number of these are restored to their former glory - giving you the opportunity to experience the golden days of coach travel.
